The "Engraved EG" is a custom built fully sponsored 1992 Honda Civic Hatchback VX (EG). For this project, engraving artist Shawn Lisjack of Exotic Engravings is fully hand engraving on an entire car by the use of Dremel tools and accessories. Once completed, the "Engraved EG" will be the "World's First Fully Hand Engraved Car" and will take its place in automotive history. The purpose of this unique "one of a kind" vehicle is to display multiple (hand engraved) companies logos, showcasing high quality sponsored products, and to bring daily brand name awareness and recognition to each company involved with the project.
The "Engraved EG" made its first automotive event debut at the 2012 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, NV, where over 100,000+ attendees had the unique opportunity to see and "touch" this "one of a kind" car. Over 5,000+ hand engraving hours went into the vehicles's body so far. Another 1,000+ engraving hours are estimated till the vehicle's completion and will be attending over 100+ automotive events, shows, drifting events, road courses, drag races, and track days within the next year.
The hand engraved imagery on the "Engraved EG" consists of project sponsors / partners logos, Japanese images (characters, culture, and symbols), and random "tattoo style" artwork. Engravings are like tattoos, they are "There For Life" and will be on this engraved masterpiece for the life of the vehicle for everyone to see. The "Engraved EG" stands out everywhere it goes bringing more brand name recognition to each participating sponsor involved.
